It's not every day you get a celebrity in to invent a brand new Lo-Dough pizza... and to get someone as lovely as Jazmine Franks was a real treat indeed. The former Hollyoaks actress who is also a British powerlifting champion came to see the Lo-Dough team because she knew it would be perfect for her fitness goals. While she was here, she came up with a great pizza recipe which we have nicknamed...

Now we make and eat a lot of pizza at Lo-Dough (as you can probably imagine), but hadn't yet thought to put sweet caramelised onions onto one. Needless to say, the result was delicious - the onions perfectly contrasting with the salty ham and peppery rocket. 

Thanks to Lo-Dough, this one comes in at a mere 331 calories and 7 carbs, whilst boasting 28 grams of protein and 11 grams of fibre. Whether powerlifting or not, Jazmine's pizza is a heavenly creation...

Using Lo-Dough as a low calorie pizza base 

If you're new to Lo-Dough or haven't yet used it as a pizza base, it is one of the most wonderful things you can do with it! You can have a pizza base for just 39 calories per base, which is wonderfully high in fibre to keep you fuller for longer.

It was previously unheard of to have a pizza base so much like bread but without the calories and carbs. Being able to put pizza back on the menu is one of Lo-Dough's proudest achievements.

Prosciutto and Caramelised Onion Pizza

 Ready to give this pizza a go? Instructions below.



  • 1 piece of Lo-Dough
  • 50g passata
  • 75g of grated mozzarella
  • 1 and a half slices of prosciutto
  • A quarter of an onion
  • A handful of rocket
  • A crack of black pepper
  • 10 sprays of oil

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°C/475F/Gas 9.
  2. In about 7-8 sprays of oil, cook your onion until golden, sweet and soft. Set aside.
  3. Wipe out and then spray the remaining fry-light into the pan and fry off your Lo-Dough to add some colour to the base.
  4. Put the browned Lo-Dough onto your cooking mesh/grill bars/pizza stone/air-fryer stand and spoon the pizza sauce over, making sure to spread it right to the edge.
  5. Add the caramelised onion, the cheese, and then the prosciutto.
  6. Bake in your oven for 7-10 minutes, or until golden and bubbling. Serve straight away with a handful of rocket and a crack of black pepper over the top.

💡 Top Tip

If you feel you like your base could be crispier when it comes out, try adding back to a hot, dry frying pan for 8-10 seconds and remove with a spatula.
