Autumnal Brownies Without The Calories

If you like your food with a little pumpkin and a little spice at this time of year, then this is a great recipe to try with your brownie mix. Sweetened pumpkin is available in tins, but its good fun making your own too (not to mention, you can leave out the sugar and use a healthier sweetener). Just roast wedges of pumpkin until cooked and then puree with a little water, sweetener and spice. Making your own pumpkin puree should take approx. 30 mins.

Low-Cal Brownies

Making your Low-Calorie Brownies

Make the Lo-Dough Brownie Mix as per the packet instructions. Take your banana and cut nine thin rounds of banana off and put to one side. Mash up the rest with a fork and incorporate into your mix. Decorate with the nine rounds, so that each brownie will have a piece of banana in the centre. Bake for 25 minutes at 190C. Allow to cool (as per the instructions) and then cut into 9 portions. They are now ready to serve.

Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
