Copy of Job Opportunities at Lo-Dough
Current Vacancy: Packing Team Assistant
About the Business
Lo-Dough is one of the most exciting food tech startups in Greater Manchester.
Since our launch in 2017, we have grown to over 30 members of staff and over 60,000 customers and continue to rapidly grow as more people hear about our revolutionary product.
We’re changing the world of dietary health in an exciting, delicious and game-changing way.
Slimmers, coeliacs, diabetics, drug resistant-epileptics, athletes, nutritionists, dieticians, and celebrities are all using Lo-Dough to help make their mealtimes delicious without impacting on health goals or dietary requirements.
We are looking to recruit reliable, committed and enthusiastic people to join our production team here at Lo-Dough Towers.
We provide a warm and welcoming environment and place mutual respect at the core of our business. We like to do things the right way and have a track record of promoting from within the team.
We are still relatively small so don’t expect us to be as sophisticated just yet as a larger established business. Part of our appeal is that you’ll be joining us at a time where you can contribute directly to that growth story.
About the Role
Right now, we have opportunities in the Dispatch team.
Its working in a shift environment, however for this particular role it will be working 7am until 3pm Monday - Friday. The shift patterns are subject to change as we grow, we might even look at 24-hour production in the future.
Our Packing Assistants start on £8.21 per hour, and we offer 29 days holiday per annum (including bank holidays).
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Lo-Dough Ltd team, and the role is a physical role which will involve unloading and reloading pallets with products, it will require an ability to concentrate and check details (weigh, measures, times) so the ability to concentrate and shift from one task to another is critical.
You’ll need energy, resilience, the ability to follow procedures, pride in standards, the ability to learn quickly and to enjoy a hands-on role. It’s desirable but not essential that you’ve worked in a production environment before. Prior knowledge of the food sector would be a real advantage as there’s a lot to learn about hygiene and safety and best practices.
But most of all it’s about having a positive, can-do attitude and being a true team player.
