Delicious Low-Calorie Summer Recipes

Light summer food, without the hidden calories.

Warmer temperatures and sunnier days have paved the way for tasty summery food. When we think of summer foods and alfresco dining, colourful salads and BBQs spring to mind. Although some of these are seen as healthier alternatives to some meals, they often come with hidden calories, saturated fats and refined carbohydrates attached. Calorific and high-fat salad dressings; carb-laden bread and pastry; sugary desserts.

But these wonderful foods don't need to be avoided - just rethought. Building Lo-Dough into your diet saves you calories and carbs like nothing else, while also providing your body with all-important, gut-friendly fibre. With a few other tips and tricks (zero-fat sides, low-sugar treats) you can still enjoy all your favourites.

low fat coleslaw

Fat-Free Curried Coleslaw - A Healthier Twist On This Classic Side

Coleslaw is a firm favourite on everyone’s BBQ menu. Unsurprising as it’s absolutely delicious! However, it’s often made with copious amounts of mayonnaise - sending the fat content through the roof.

We’ve adapted the traditional recipe and opted for fat-free yoghurt instead. This still gives you the creamy, crunchy texture you know and love, yet gets rid of the fat and reduces the calories significantly.
